WARNING TECHNICAL ELECTRICAL QUESTION

(1/2) > >>

davidlandy:
I have just got myself a loverly new alternator to replace my broken one on my 300tdi 90 . the difference is that my new one is 100amp where as the old one was 65a - now the question, will my wiring be ok for the extra amps?

Hightower:
Only one way to find out Dave . . . . . fit it and see.

If there's the smell of burning, then I'd suggest not

davidlandy:
Wise words Simon

as I trust you implicitly I will do what you say.

I will fit it at pace tommorrow evening.

Miniman:
Yes mate it will be fine as long as you dont have about 6 spotlights on all at once.

Porny:
eh...

personally I'd run the power cable straight back to the battery (or the starter)... i.e. replace the thick brown wire (s)

Apart from that the switching wires will be fine.

Although, tis bunfire night soon, so you could just leave it as it is....
