SJ gear box sealing

if you think ur filling the box up with mud shove a hose down the inspection hole slowly till water runs clear

I put a breather on the top of the bell housing on my SJ and that stopped it filling up with crud. :)

I warmed up a length of hosepipe and slipped in in the hole and then sealed up the gaps with tape.  It worked fine. :)

As Simon says - don't block the drain hole at the bottom though :)
