I was flicking through this months LRO and I noticed a small picture of a Stage 1 fuel filler neck extended. This was so amazing that I had to grab a torch and run outside. I cannot belive that! I have never noticed it before. Am I the only person in the world who didn't know this?

its so you can fill the tank easier from a jerry can or barrel

Not every problem can be solved with duct tape, and it's exactly for those situations we have WD 40

its (the inserted tube bit with seive)  comes out about 6 inches or so and if twisted it will come out completely so you can empty the said seive....unless of course its missing! :cry:

The ones I use are on the military under seat tank filling type, but yes they do come on the civvy ones too, unless someone has threw it out

I'm quite worried of doing that everytime I'm at the petrol station!

I have used it a number of times to fill from the jerry can, but as the jerry is moulting its paint inside the sieve gets blocked, I guess at least its doing its job well.

Wrap a piece of muslin cloth over the can neck, it will collect most of the bits :wink:
