help! key fob playing up need to bin it for key only entry

hi every body getting really frustrated the key fob,it  hardley works .if i use key only the alarm goes off how can i stop the alarm going off when i use the key only? presume disconecting the alarm?? need to bin the key fob and get down to basics and use the key only. thanks glyn. :x

Just asking the obvious - have you tried changing the batteries?

Range Rover Blues:
You need to unlock it with the remote, then bin it.  If locked with the remote it will not dissable the alarm if  you unlock with the key.
