Looks like a power steering pump to me. I've just fitted an early Hoburn-Eaton one to my 110. Looks similar, but the ports are in different locations.

Whats on the tag?

looks like a part number on the base (if it is the base). but I'd go along with pump for something or other

poss a td5 stearing pump. not sure as Ive no looked at mine yet...
