Freelander Folding Bench Seat
« on: September 29, 2006, 22:12:26 »
Having a folding 2-person bench seat fitted to my commercial Freelander next week, however it only come's with the two lap belts and now with the new laws, and having to fit two kiddies seat's from time to time I am looking to fit some 3 point inertia seat belts. Looking in the back it looks like the top anchor point for the rear belt is there though I will have to check if there is a floor mounting anchor when the hard board is lifted out.

Has anybody come across someone converting a commercial :?: , I would assume I could purchase rear belts from the dealer and fit them quite easily.Any info would be appreciated  :)

Cheers

From what I can gather, it is fairly straightforward. I have got some pictures of the inside of mine that I took for someone who did the same as you. PM / email if you want me to send the pictures for reference. I can reccommend the loadspace cover from www.powerfuluk.com £160 delivered and a genuine 30 minute fitting time.

Cheers

Evening simdeb

Sorry took a while to post pics mate. It's a 2-person seat which I ordered from these http://www.scotseats.com/products/seatkits/4x4estate/index.html

Have got some armrests, just need to fit them on.

Also bought some 3-point inertia belts from here http://www.mattsavage.com/
Will be fitting them over Christmas, finally get all the family out for a bit of laning, the kids love it

Would have bought them, if they were up for sale a few months ago.
