I've found the best way of recovering without spending £500 on a winch is to get yourself a lovely Tirfor, never ever ever got stuck and not being able to get out of it with one of these!
Even to the point where I wast stuck in a bomb hole with Mud over the sills, dragged me out but also started to drag the 3 land rovers that were tied together! I would add that this was on an off road site, not a green lane!

watch out for the west mids laning trip and if you get stuck there are enough motors to pull you out :lol: id just get a good set of at tyres if greenlanes are all your planning :wink:
