Anti roll bars (updated with new fitted parts from D4x4)

<< < (4/8) > >>

Steve ray:
Didn't the rear anti-roll bar become a 'standard' fitment towards the end of the Disco 1 production run?

Guardian.:
if the vehicle was factory fitted with anti roll bars then it should!!! fail an mot without them, however, they often dont. this again is a depends on the tester situation as some will turn a blind eye or dont realise it had them fitted from factory.

Taken in context, I doubt a 300 tdi Discovery would fail the MOT if Jake removes anti-roll bars. I'm not an MOT tester but the man who lives 4 doors down from me is and whether written in black and white or not it's up to the tester to decide, <from the horses mouth> based on the fact there's no fixed rule as to what was factory fitted or standard in the case of a 300tdi Disco. Different for D2 Discos !!

I apologise if I made a sweeping statement with "NOT" fail but I was referring to the original post and the comments subsequently made.

Just to throw wood on the fire... when I had mine in for MOT in May at a 4x4/Land Rover independent garage the tester asked me why I hadn't taken the anti roll bar off :!:
