Disco Spat out its dummy

:cry:  well the disco is yet again off the road with only a week till London 2 Brighton and it blew up on the m1 today temp went right up through the red then dropped then back up again as i pulled over and stopped the rad emptied its contents onto the floor of the hardshoulder.......

cant see any split pipes so im guessing i need to swop the damn thing is that easy ? i have a 98 300 tdi with aircon no signs b4 it blew other then generally getting very sluggish over the past few months  :cry:

Might be blown head gasket....

A rad is quite easy to change though, shouldn't take more than a few hours to swap.  Is it definetly leaking out of the rad?

Donald the Disco:
Check the two water pipes at the top rear of the block, by the bulk head.

Hard to spot the split, here.   :D
