I've had a JE Engineering "Stage 2" (remapping ECU + larger intercooler) fitted to my 2004 110 - it had 27k miles on the clock when I had it done and it's now got 67k on it. So 40k's worth of hard work, towing the BWSOW etc.
Problems with this? Nothing at all. No extra wear on things, no busted UJs or CVs, gearbox still quiet and smooth.
I've had a (documented on here somewhere) problem with the injector loom which I managed to solve myself with some lateral thinking. I also had the exhaust manifold studs break - but that was before the Stage 2 was done. I solved that problem with a JE Engineering stud kit - a cunning combination of spacers and washers that allows the manifold to move a little without stressing the studs.
The remapping works beautifully. No strange or mysterious light effects on the dashboard, no need to wait for it initialise, just loads of torque throughout the rev range.
Overall, together with raising the transfer box gearing to the 1.2:1 ratios, this is the best money I've ever spent on the 110 - thoroughly worth it.
No connection with JE Engineering, just a vary satisfied customer.

Have you ever herd of Belautos in yourkshire???
I have a 2002 110 that has had a remap by him, I have a 2002 90 Haard top that has a JE stage 2 and I have an offroad 90 with 2004 td5 running gear and has a J Fern map. I can tell you that the JE one is a good road map but strugles when offroading on rocks or steep uphills with no space to gain momentum. The J Fern one is wild and powerful but smokes a bit too much and consumes a lot of fuel when driven hard, while the one from belautos has the best low end torque and a better economy than the standard LR map. It is excelent for towing and offroading.
