Yup and we pay VAT on the tax :!:

I am in favour of no road tax but more on fuel.

We have 4 vehicles but can only use 2 at a time.

The version I heard is that the Lib Dems want to put it up to that, and on a Ford Mondeo to about £850.

I've not read the book myself, by apparently Charles Kennedy has been quoted as saying his ambition is to drive everyone out of their car and onto public transport.

While this isn't a political forum, can I make a suggestion?  Next time someone comes knocking on your door asking for your vote, ask them about transport policy, about preserving historic rights of way, and freedom of choice.   Because if you don't, you'll lose them all!

If it goes on the fuel it also means that anyone that buys fuel in the uk pays their share too. There is lots of foreign registered cars in this country that don't pay into our system

Last time round the lib dems got my vote for talking the least ****. They have just lost at least one vote becuse the band wagon they have jumped on means you have to do more miles per year and thus cause more polution to justify owning a car on the road :?:  :shock:  :?:  :shock:  :?:  :shock:  :?:  :evil:  :evil:
Oh and even more revenue from the extra spent on fuel.

I wish them luck trying to win back that vote.
