Same could be said for a tracker in every car, showing your id card every time you buy a train ticket, unrestricted stop and search by the police etc etc

but surely by vandelising them they will be on cctv and easier to identify, and if there are police nearby they will be caught in the act by the opperator directing the nearest patroll car.
Also the laws could and should be made tougher(even for 1st offenders)so that the majority of law breakers wont want to break the law again

That's more to the point!

At times you can't understand the workings of the judicial system

Not long after I had my nose broken by a scrote of a patient, I heard a case discussed on the Jeremy Vine show (during a phone-in on attacks on NHS staff)4
A nurse somewhere around the York(?) area had been assaulted by a patient.
He'd hit her in the face with a water jug. She suffered fractured cheekbone, broken jaw & missing teeth.
The CPS, for some lunatic reason, decided not to prosecute as they stated it was 'Not In The Public Interest'
Thankfully the Trust did follow it up for her.

Conversely (& I mentioned this one last night?) a lady was subjected a reign of terror, abuse & intimidation by a gang of local yobs & ne'er do wells.
After multiple calls to the Police , etc....,  she had had enough & slapped a couple of these snivelling brats.
She was arrested, charged with assault and now may face prison, or a criminal record.

Sometimes you have to wonder.........................

Edit
A similar case
(ie; CPS said "Not In......")

My eldest brother was subjected to intimidation by two families as he was a witness in a court case. He saved the the life of a victim that had been beaten badly by the sons of the said families. He went to the Police on numerous occasions trying to get them to do something and he was told that unless there were witnesses or forensic evidence then they could do nothing. He went on to take his own life.

One lesson I learnt from that day is to make sure there is no witness when you take the law into your own hands and deny everything  .
One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors.

I keep a 3 D-cell MagLite under the bed, just in case the 'lights go out'

But if in the dark, I tripped over someone on the steps & unfortunately hit a burglar on the head several times with it, it would have been an accident
