similar to an alloy, but these prices are for bare steel...
blueboar:
Ouch....
I think I will put up with getting flat tyres for the time being. But thank you to everyone for answering
thermidorthelobster:
Why do you want to move away from alloys? I've been running alloys on a D2 for a long time, including hacking through deserts and over mountains, and have never had any problems with them, apart from scratching them to hell of course.
blueboar:
The problem we have, according to landrover and our tyre specilists, is that beacuse we have to drive along a sea defence to get off site, the salt dust is reacting with the glue and that is reacting with the alloy, and it only needs a small pin [ed - prod with a sharp implement] in the glue seal and we have a flat tyre.
I have a D1 (for sale and cheap), and eventually I had to sell the alloys and replace them with steel wheels, and I want steels for the D2.
