How Much for a New Clutch

<< < (2/3) > >>

TechnoTurkey:
Hmm, the Garage have told Richie that it will be £450 because they have to take the overdrive off as well?  Sounds very very steep to me!

Any thoughts?

Dr Neil:
£450!!!!!

That's more than i paid for my series 3 when i had mine..

Did the clutch on mine and it wasn't that bad a job, a bit time consuming but better than paying someone else £450 unless you have money to burn.
Just my opinion

Neil....

Canada Al:
you dont have to remove the gearbox . you can move it back a few inches and do the clutch in the gap . saves on the lifting .

blackbob:
they prob dont want to do the job so they have over priced it
used to do that if we didnt want to do a job

also dont forget that series landy you need to get the floor up and most of the time you need a grinder to do it

RICHIElandy:
got the Landy back this morning and it works £380 lighter
and yep they had to grind the bolts off to do the job

nice to drive though goes in a straight line and even stops as well
so fingers crossed no more expensive bills for a while at least
