Why oh why oh why?? PIC ADDED! Thanks Guys it passed :¬) :Â
Quietsleeper:
Why is it my truck decides to feel poorly just before it's MOT?
I got a hub seal leaking, a front caliper leaking and sommat above my trucks rear diff (reservoir (looks like an oil filter shape :? ) above a 'v' shaped thingy) dripping ...
Now the two leakers I knew I had to fix ... but the other drippy bit has me stumped ... think I played too hard and broke it ....what is it? do I need it? is it easily do-able? .... or shall I clean all, it plead womanly innocence and try to get it MOT'd?????
(Being a girl is great ... you can call a car part a thingy and get away with it :D :D )
PHOTO IS ON ME NEXT POST!

Instead of calling it a 'thingy' men come up with a more acceptible, a common example is a 'flim flam for a whatsit'
The rear leaky flim flam for a whatsit (in this case the whatsit being a 110 rear end) sounds like a fuel filter/water trap.
Where abouts is the leak coming from, is it from a fitting/connection into/out of the flim flam in which case it may just require tightening up.
or
is it comming from around the middle of it in which case its probably a tired seal that needs replacing.
or
is it leaking from the drain plug on the bottom in which case it may just tighten up a bit but in practice are a pain and refuse to reseal again.

My Disco has just passed the MOT with a rear diff oil seal leaking. Didn't know it could fail on that.

sounds like it could be the fuel sedimenter
