BBC News 24
Andy 300tdi:
Did anybody see this this morning?
They had a Landie owner on complaining about the BBC coverage of the 4X4 debate and thier allegadly biased view of our vehicles.
They accept that they have tended to use the term 4X4 genericly, which may have presented a biased view and will be more specific in their future coverage involving this type of vehicle.
about time.
Very Annoyed:
Yes I saw it and recorded it! At least the BBC did admit to slightly biassed reporting and that certain things were incorrect but still insist that the majority of 4x4's are the large petrol drinking versions - Would be interested to know if this is correct because I would think this is not the case anymore.
Jas278:
Yes watched that, but is the damage to the 4x4 already done ?

So what if they are? In a city diesels are arguably far worse as they belch out PM10's and other crap. Thats actually one of the arguments on the anti website- "Diesel models are popular among 4x4 owners because they are less thirsty. However, while diesel engines produce less carbon dioxide, they give out greater amounts of the other pollutants, which can make them even more harmful to the people around them". Lets not open ourselves up to it!
All cars pollute, not just 4x4's!
Nick666:
Such a ridiculous argument, using fuel choice (either way!) as an argument against 4x4s... what the hell do they think the average repmobile runs on? roses?
