blacknight:
Hello all.

Has anybody out there made rocksliders for there Range Rover. If so how difficult was it.

Where do they bolt on to?
What size steel?
Have you any photo's?
Any other issues(for & against?

I have some engineering skills and can do some welding, but not gas.

Mine would be for a 3.9 EFI - 4 door.

Thanks - Nigel

I am making a set for a disco and as far as i know there the same as a RR.........i am bolting mine direct to the chassis.
Box section 40x80x3mm

Range Rover Blues:
Yeah, make some outriggers from the chasis, don't bolt them to the sills, that's amatuer night.

To get them looking right the box needs to curve very slightly.

birdy:
made mine out of 100x40x5/mounts50 x4 t45 tube/8mm plate
bolted to chassis
mount them right and you get rock sliders and a step
weld some tube on and you have jack points to

Range Rover Ron:
Hi there, I bought mine from Guardian for £90 a pair, at that price it's hardly worth the effort in making them.

Ron.
