Is it really worth fitting the above to a 200tdi?  Put one on the 2A and can't say I noticed a lot of diffference

Bill jones:
Fitted one to my 200 Tdi 5 years ago. When first fitted I did notice a small differeance in fuel use (between 1 to 2 miles a gallon better average) but I would say if you want to fit one for the fuel saving it's a long term item before you get your money back unless you do loads of miles a year.

only reason i got a kenlow fitted to my 90 is cos its got a fondness of swimming

I fitted an electric fan out of a scrap omega. I only did it because the viscous fan had given up the ghost. I wouldn't do it for economy but it has other advantages such as the engine warms up quicker (good in winter) and you can turn it off when wading.

hmmm....it'll be done on the cheap (if at all) - a Chrysler Voyager kindly suppled the fan for the Series - and I'm doing about 1500 miles a month at the moment......

So..currently 30 mpg.....2/30 improvement......£50 per week x 2/30 = £3pw saving......

Think I'll acquire a switch/thermostat....
