Big Rich:
Just another question.. Which way does the front prop shaft go on? The male to the diff or the female to the diff? If I have mine on the wrong way would that be why I have front uj problems?

Many Thanks

:( Too much work and no play :(

Rich,

It has been suggested to me that running the propshaft the 'wrong way' round ie the sliding joint towards the front actually helps the situation with regard to lunching your UJ on a regular basis.

However I've not tried it so don't know if it helps or not. I went a diffrent route and got a job lot of UJs.

I have my sliding joint on the front Prop fitted diff end.

The rear one has the sliding joint at the transfer box end.

Not sure what actual difference it makes as there a a few considerations, like dirt ingress, what if they come apart on the road, etc..etc..

One of my customers bought a UJ kit for £30 but decided to get a new prop instead as 2nd UJ was just as bad. Padocks did it for £60.
