2" lift w/standard tyres - will it look stoopid?

(1/4) > >>

Disco_Dunk:
Greetings all..... I've finally managed to scrape together enough funds for a lift kit for my Disco (hoping for a bargain at the Peterborough LR show).

A quick question, though - the funds won't stretch to new, bigger tyres, so will my 235/70's look like skate-board wheels with a lift? Is anyone out there still running standard tyres on a lifted Disco? Any pics?

Cheers

Dunk

Horness:
I'm getting mine done tomorrow (Britpart +2" with OME shocks) and I'm running 235/70/16's with BF Goodrich A/T's.

I'm hoping it will not have the roller skate look to it, but if I get chance will take some pics tomorrow and post them up.

Cheers

Hightower:
There is a pic of mine here www.colnhurst.co.uk/Discovery/photopages/2005/2005-07-23/images/langdale%20(197).JPG that shows a lifted D2 with 235/70R16 wheels.

IMHO I thought they looked a bit daft, so a month after that pic was taken I upgraded to to 265/75R16's

Bulli:
im not even going to post a piccy of mine, i had some 30 inch at's on alloys and with the cutaway arches it looked extremely silly.

I'm on a similare setup with a RRC, 2" britpart springs and 205r16 tyres.

Its not the most asthetic setup, but i have no problems living with it day to day, it certainly isn't 'skateboard'. Putting the 225/75r26 mud terrains on it does improve the looks, but to be honest when your driving the car looks don't make any difference.
