The Elise/Exige is an -awesome- car performance wise, and -very- little to touch it for the money, but you really should do a long-term (ie. weekend) test drive in one as the seats can be VERY uncomfortable (there's little padding and virtually no adjustment) so you might end up dreading getting into the thing!
And don't get a yank - they're almost universally rubbish-handling cars (and I'm not saying that just because I'm Canadian!).
Just my 2p.
