Well it was my 18 month old Company car...
4 x injectors for a Toyota Avensis D4D apparently £1200 worth !!!
then 12 hours labour + all other bits.....
The joys of Toyota.... lucky for me I was able to prove I had asked the garage before I used it they said "should be OK" they now say "NO WAY" but as I pointed out when I first asked no one had a clue !
But yes its the rubber used in the system that causes the problem Bio diesel disolves it !
rollazuki:
Have seen first hand that many modern engines wont run on bio(I work in a Toyota Garage(also Hyundai experience))
If its direct injection, Id say forget it.
Its not a case of it'll just stop, its a new lift pump, high pressure pump, injectors...blah blah blah.
These prices you have been given for injectors etc sound about right, theyre expensive beasts these days.
Has anyone on here tried blending straight veg oil(svo) or waste veg oil(wvo) with regular diesel(paying tax of course...)
or using a single or double tank with heaters etc????
Im wondering about blending a little svo with diesel on fill ups, having got a tax cert from C&E first.....
barmiebrumie:
Can anyone tell me where I can apply for the correct form for using or making my own svo :?: , as I would like to pay my tax's
Thanks in advance, John.
