Bio Diesel............ ............................TOP STUFF
Horness:
OK - now I am VERY interested in using this stuff in my 300 TDI Disco.
Looking around, there are not many places selling this stuff - can you recommend a good place that will deliver?
We now need some BIO Fuel stickers
Miniman:
Well I cant help you as to where you can get it from mate down your way. All I can tell ya is to check the Internet and see where. Have you looked at the last link I put up ? http://www.biodieselfillingstations.co.uk/

I wish I could find a decent bio-diesel outlet down 'ere. there are a few places who sell 5% but thats about it.
I've gone down the veg oil route, am currently running on 10% veg oil and will be working my way upto 50% over the next few months.
All registered with the Revenue boys now too. It would be considerably less of a pain in the ass to get biodiesel from someone else with tax already paid.

All looks very interesting, BUT!!!
I am of the understanding that TAX is paid as a percentage of the cost of an item. IE, if I earn 3 grand a month I pay lots of tax, if I earn 500 quid a month I pay very little.
Or for example, I pay VAT on an item, I obviously pay more for an expensive item by comparison to a cheap item.
If I get free oil from the local chippy(free/gratis/no cost) Then how can I be expected to pay a tax? If its calculated as a percentage, then any percent of '0' is nowt!
How can this tax on recycled veg oil be legal?

Miniman:
Alot of the places which supply it in bulk dont use recycled veg oil but rapeseed oil. Mine does so its very pure. 88p a liter I pay for mine and its well worth it. My MPG has shot up big time and the TAX is paid for me so if I was VAT registered then it be even better. Not sure what the VAT is on it but I think if you make it yourself you have to pay them 27p per liter so if my fuel place is paying 27p VAT that would mean 61p a liter which is alot cheeper than 98p for normal Diesel. I am not entirely sure what you are trying to say but thats just me being thick......he he
