No the Clarkson car was not road legal, it was the silver Range Rover 5.2/LPG demonstrator I drove to Billing.
That was the year of the infamous LRO fashion show. Every time the show started we made a point of starting the Clarkson can and drowning them out, the RPI stand was just behind the stage.
