Disco Mania and off road protection

LaidBack:
Hi All
New to the club but not really new to the off roading lark. Always amazed at how you all can afford to add all these nice extras to your vehicles. I am quite keen on under body, particularly steering, protection and would also like to replace my plastic front bumper with something a bit more substantial. BUT no cash is the main problem, does anyone know where I could obtain drawings etc for these items so that I could make them myself?
Thanks
Chris

Disco Inferno:
www.discoweb.org, hit the "tech" tab on the topthere loads of bits on there and few techy drawings etc worth a look for a startign point.

I find that if you spread the purchases across a number of months, and don't examine the bank statements too closely, it doesn't feel too expensive  8)

Mentally I find I can justify spending <£80 relatively easily (after all, it's not much more than a tank of diesel  :(  ), whereas anything over £100 feels much more expensive.  Because of this, if you can get the supplier to split the order up into chunks of 60 quid or so, you'll feel a lot better about it  :D

Mine accepts that adding bits for protection is cheaper then breaking and then repairing the car itself   \:D/
