Oil Maingearbox

<< < (2/3) > >>

hobbit:
Just remember if you go through the top of the gearbox to fill it up, you must remove the level plug on the side of the box before you start, you could fill to a pre measured level, but is safer to use the level plug hole as reference

...I got one! now I've found I can squirt EP90 almost everywhere, even those hard parts of the driveway that I couldn't quite reach before.....

ukmudmaster:
where did you get it from, and, is that its proper name!!!!

ian_s:
i've found a good cheap solution

get one of those small bottles of mineral water, with those squirty caps. the ones where you just pull it up to open it
get a 2 litre lemonade bottle.
find a length of pipe that fits over the squirty top

fill the large bottle with ep90
attach the squirty lid
put the hose over the squirty top, pull the top up to open it and squeeze the bottle!

its also a good idea to put the hose in where you want the oil to go, or it will go everywhere!

Lucy1978:
I use an old dry powder fire extinguisher, cleaned out, and filled with oil, it has a (schrader?) valve on the side with which I use  a bike pump to preassurise it, it's got a good length od hose on it, squeeze the handles and out comes the oil,  just make sure you paint it and keep it where it won't be confused with a fire extinguisher in an emergency.
