beast5680:
just found this for you
--- Quote ---The supercharger is made by Weiand (pronounced "why and"). They make twisted-vane, roots-style superchargers for many after market applications. The system uses a GM 6-71 case as the base, and a Scott injector hat at the top.
On the movie car, this was all faked. The supercharger was empty and the carburettor sat inside. A small water pump was attached to the front of the supercharger to hold the drive wheel, this also moved the supercharger belt forward to clear the standard 351 water pump assembly, and the distributor has a 90 degree elbow to allow it to clear the supercharger. The supercharger belt is driven by an electric motor which is hidden by a yellow bucket in the garage scene in MM1. Weiand never had a supercharger that could be activated and deactivated. Even with huge compression it would be tough to generate 600bhp on a 351 in 1974 without rebuilding it once every couple of hundred miles.

--- Quote from: "landyloony" ---will probably have been mentioned already but steve Mcqueens mustang in bullet (also the contender for best movie car chase ever)

That 1968 Mustang GT390 is a beautiful car & a style icon (the colour is called 'Highland Moss')

Peter Nelson over at the 'Cars Of The Stars' museum in Keswick has the original car.
He's refused numerous offers to take it back to Oz to exhibit it, as he reckons it'd get impounded as a 'Cultural Icon' & not be allowed back out of the country.
He's also got (amongst many others)
FAB 1 (that is bl**dy huge!!, it's based ona Bedford 'Chinese 6' coach chassis - like the one in 'The Italian Job')
'A-Team' van
'General Lee' (genuine Warner Brothers car, not a replica)
'The Munsters' Car
'Magnums' Ferrari 308
'BatMobiles' (3 of, a TV car, the Michael Keaton & Val Kilmer movie cars)
Lots of James Bond vehicles
--- Quote from: "landyloony" ---as for british film cars - bonds aston from goldfinger
not a film as such but Patrick McGoohan's caterham 7 from the prisoner series
and the pink roller from thunderbirds (the original series)
--- End quote ---
See above for FAB 1
The Prisoner car is a Lotus (they still made them at that point)

I'm going to have to disagree on that one BTM - have a look at this

edit
right ok I'll rephrase that then - it was a LOTUS not a CATERHAM 7 - the article title is misleading with its link from
