Whistle While I Clutch

<< < (3/4) > >>

Fireyred:
Okay, thanks for everyone's help and advice.

Trying to call R M Motor's in Rushden. He normally does other half's car.
Will get him to take a look, just on the off chance it something else, less costly and in depth.

Is an F reg though. Have called the Nene Overland too. Where I got it from, see what they think. Also if it still in warrenty or not. As had a few other things go wrong too. Not my day.

Cheers.

 :(

Fireyred:
Just a thought, what damage would it do driving about on it.
Is it best to not drive it for now tioll it sorted?

 :?

Devon-Rover:
Some thrust bearings will rumble and squeak for quiet a while, they are quiet hardy things. It probably won't hurt if it's driven a bit more. I would only stop driving if it is affecting the gearchange or there is a severe vibration felt. I know one chap who has been meaning to sort his for a year now.

Mailorder 4x4 are doing a deal on Valeo clutch kits

HTH.

DR.

Fireyred:
Thanks, Nice to know as may not be able to afford it for a few weeks.

Will get it done as soon as I can, just wanted to make sure it wasnt gonna cause a mass of damage to something else. :(

Cheers.

Fireyred:
Odd, Whistle noise gone, just getting a faint Whirring noise when I clutch it now. :?

Still gonna get it looked at though i think.

Thanks again to all that advised.
