Rattly tailgate..
« on: September 01, 2004, 12:27:45 »
Hi folks,

My tailgate has started rattling a lot - it seems to be bouncing around in the latch. I can't find any way of adjusting it - does anyone know of one or is this the sign of bigger worries? I've heard sketchy tails of back ends of shells needing repairs...

If you are sure its the latch fine if not, check the hinges or might be worth checking the spare wheel to see if the nuts have worked loose

Not every problem can be solved with duct tape, and it's exactly for those situations we have WD 40

Ah, there is some adjustment on the striking plate then - I'll look at it again. I'm certain its not the spare wheel - thats strapped down where the rear seats used to be...

Thanks guys.

Pete.
