300 Tdi Interior lights

Anybody got any ideas why the interior lighs on my 95' 300 tdi have stopped working ?  They won't come on when the 4 personel doors are opened, but when you open the boot door they all work as they should.

mine did that for a while when i had the 2nd socket put in for charging the caravan it was a dodgy earth in my case maybe yours could the be same

or if its like mine its full of water

mine had a broken wire under the centre console by the rear ash tray.
