I'm surprised as well.  Yeah, Fred's death also had a bit of an effect on me.  :( (he was only a short distance away from where I live as well and I've been to his house plenty of times)

I can understand you being in bits - I have an Airedale and they are one of the most loyal, disobedient, intelligent dogs you could ever have the pleasure to share your life with.
