Is it possible to fit bigger tyres without going for more lift by cutting the arches away? The yanks seem to do alot of body cutting on there's.

you should be good for 31x10.50x15 with your 2"inch lift.

Thanks, but I have 30" at the moment and would like to go bigger than that if possible, 32"+,  as I have had problems in deep ruts with the diff catching.

If you go bigger than 30 " your gonna have to extend the bumpstops, start triming fenders ect and winding out the steering stops. also your getting into regearing territory even with a 4 litre. My advice is save yourself some money. I've got places people with more heavily modded jeeps have had trouble simply by taking it steady and picking a good line, I run a 2" lift with 235/75/15 MTs. Have you got any disconnects yet? If not get some, they are the single best mod for an XJ.
