sammy vs jimny

glaggs:
Rolla your only jelous 'cos it don't get stuck or fall over like some Zuks I can mention? Jimnys are the new SJ with more mods available every day. Mine keeps breaking but I'm told thats cos of how I drive it! Only minor mods are needed to show up most green oval products, and I do mean minor mods. 2" lift and some bigger mud terraine tyres. Less than £500 on mods and you've got a vehicle that will go almost anywhere and leave Landy's floundering in the mud with their drivers spitting blood! I have the photo's to prove it.

zippy:
what are the rust common probs with jimny? if any.

glaggs:
They don't realy have any major problems as yet. They've not been around that long realy. The only known rust problem I've heard off is in the 'boot' area in the corners and in the well for the jack etc. But these areas are easy to get to both inside and underneath so that preventative measures can be taken. Mine has spent the last three years playing in mud holes without any major rust problems.

Parts can be expensive compared to SJ's with less non orig. choice but every day more and more bits are coming available.

zippy:
have you driven both sammy and jimny as standard?

glaggs:
No only driven a std Jimny and ridden in an SJ. As an every day car theres no contest, it has to be a JImny. If you want something to put some AT's on for the occassional off road trip then ability will be similar, the Jimny will be more comfey and having a EFi motor pulls better especially on hills.
