Rain.... real rain!

Well, it's been raining here for most of the day! That's the first 'proper' rain for 4 or 5 weeks here. Had plenty of those quick blasts with all the brimstone and fire (!) but they don't last and the water dries up within an hour.

Drove a couple of lanes on Monday evening and areas that are *always* wet were very nearly bone dry. Just a hint of darkness in the soil. However gently I drove, I was kicking up a huge dust cloud.

we had the odd shower yesterday but nothing today

It's hardly stopped up here since Monday. :roll:

It rained for an hour on Saturday afternoon to start with, and then it's been persistant since Sunday evening.

Where I'm working this week it's soggy wet, although it was turning sticky and heavy towards the end of the afternoon as it was beginning to dry out.

Promises rain on and off for the next week here.

Plum:
Its absaloutly hummed it down for the last two days up ere in Hull however we needed it an i loved every drop of it . . . . . . . .
