defender exhaust

my 1996 diesel defender has a catalyst converter exhaust system which has developed a hole in it, i am wondering if i can replace it with  a normal stainless steel system, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

you can replace it with a non particle collector front pipe which is about £65 IIRC
