Andy.:

--- Quote from: "xmob" ---Nah, Bulls are the best.

But that's only 'cos I used to go watch the stock car racing at Odsal.
--- End quote ---

That's a very lame excuse for saying................. no can't even type the words

Of course I do remember the good old days of winter rugby. Up at Odsal top on a cold wet Sunday afternoon, watching the then Bradford Northern.

--- Quote from: "nzrover" ---Frankie Wainman Jnr and 3 or 4 others are back racing here again.
--- End quote ---

Wow!  It's YEARS since I went to the races, but Frankie Wainman Jnr and Snr were both very prominant, and always very competitive.  They were 515 and 212 I believe.  There was Jane Bean (309?) too, there was some talent rising there.

northern_scooter_scum:

Bush Tucker Man:
Used to ride bikes a lot, even raced fora number of years.
Sadly old age & wrapping myself round trees too many times spoilt it for me.

Highlights;
Making it into the top 10 at a Mountain BikeRace at L I GH T W A T E R Valley (Ripon, North Yorkshire) out of a field of over 200. Unfortunately, over 5minutes behind the winner - but over 2hours ahead of some riders   I know, it's not the winning - it's the taking part......

Riding around the 1992 World Cyclo-Cross Championship course when it was at Roundhay Park with the reigning World Champion Thomas Frischnect in the morning before the start.
And later being with the newly crowned Junior World Champion Roger Hammond as he came up some mutual friends (of his & ours) to show them the rainbow Jersey & his Gold Medal

Riding with Motorola (the US professional team - precursor to US Postal) at the recce day for the 1994 Leeds Classic (a World Cup round) Chatting as we rode withthe big names like Phil Anderson, Sean Yates*, Brian Smith* & the future Tour de France (6times) winner Lance Armstrong.
Armstrong is a nice guy even though he's a Texan & was the World Champion at the time.
Boy those guys can motor!!!!!!!!, even on a 'day-off'
(photos on my 'WebShots')

(both British Champions at times)
