rangie axles ?

(1/5) > >>

bullfrog:
I have a pair of E reg rangie axles spare and want to fit them to my E reg 90. ( mainly to get disc brakes on the rear.
Will the 90 callipers fi the rangie axles to save messing around with brake lines.
I plan to fit Lamha extended brake lines but rangies are dual circuit fronts so have 2 pipes not 1 !
I also have some boost alloys but the centre caps dont go on at present due to hub cap seals on 90 axles.
Another reason to change.
Are the hubs different as I wondered if the rangie hubs( half shaft cap) would fit 90 front axle ???
Ay help would be great !

Xtremeteam:
if you can wait till l8r ontoday ilkl explain as im in the middle of fitting a lift kit to a 90,

quickly though, rear axle is a straight swap if the shocks both pint forwards

front axle not sure about the calipers swaping over but i think they should, rangie shafts wont fit in a defender axle as the hubs n shafts are different

bullfrog:
No probs, Wont be starting till monday ish !
I figured the front shafts were different ! Typical !
I know how to change rear ok , JUst wondered about front callipers.
Chat later dude. :)

extreme90:
you can swap the whole front hub asembely over on the front axle over
i.e unbolt the whole swivle housing and ball straight off where it meet's the axle case
and then just change the calipers to the 90 ones
you will then be able to fit the ally;s to the defender
but the down side is the rrc cv's are not as strong as the 2522 defender ones but on the +  side they are a damn lot easier to change when they break, i,e you dont have to stand there t****** the living daylights out of them to change em, they simply slide off

as for rear axle, straight swap have one on mine

hope it helps danny

bullfrog:
Is it easier to change the whole axle as I am changing the radius arms, springs, shocks and all bushes and brake lines so its only the prop to undo extra ? :?:
