No Cat for MOT?.

Will my 1997 Vitara pass an MOT if I remove the Catalytic Converter (it's blowing) and fit a piece of straight pipe in it's place?.

nope it will fail,only pre 93 cars can pass without a cat

OK, thanks for the advice, looks like I better get searching for one as the MOT is due soon :(

my 95 lwb vit hasn't had a cat for the last 3 mot's never had a problem.

i don't sctualy think there are any set co2 emmisions for the vit.

gen-x is a 1996 and aint had a cat for 3 yrs now
