Anyone out there..............

<< < (2/2)

Rangie3.0LtrDan:
None of them would touch it, nor would they recommend anywhere, they just said they wouldnt do it, have written an email of complaint to all of them stating that last i checked the manifold was part of the exhaust and their "everything to do with exhausts" type attitudes should cover this, awaiting responses now!

I have a replacement head but i havent got the first clue on how to fit it!

winchman:
There are a few companies who just travell around garages removing broken bolts etc look in the auto trader, Ask the local tool sellers Snap on etc as they might bump in to him on there sales route
Call Lock Stitch 01706 633139 they do on site stud extraction, must be others about

Rangie3.0LtrDan:
I forgot to add there are beer tokens involved for anyone willing to undertake this job!!  About 4 of the purple ones??  Plus accomodation and beer for the night (if you dont mind an airbed on the floor or the dog sleeping on the bed with you!)

Range Rover Blues:
Depending which head it is they aren't too hard to do, it's all the stuff you have to remove first, that's why the one with the PAS pump and alternator is not my favourite.

I'll bet it's the back stud that's goosed too, right.  Originally they wer bolted into the head so if it's studded then someone has already had problems I'd guess.  If the thread is gone it needs helicoiling, if it's just sheared off can you see any of it with the manifold off?
