Tdi vs LPG

When you buy a td you pay more, V8s are cheaper to buy, with lower mileage and less wear n tear. So the £1000 you quote doesn't come into it.

I was looking to buy one all ready converted, even then they still seem to be a good bit cheaper than the equivalent diesel.

What a load of b*ll*cks - A V8 is a far superior towing machine - for a start there is no turbo lag and no need to keep the revs up to keep the turbo spinning
I tow with a 200 tdi 90 and a 110 V8 pick up on a regular basis and the V8 is my first choice every time - half the time on steep forest roads I need to use low box in the diesel to get anywhere - the V8 flies up in 2nd or 3rd high range
