Winches ??

<< < (2/5) > >>

MK1:
We have had this debate several times on Birty's.

The general opinion is that Warn are good but expensive and it's arguable that they are worth the extra cost. There is a place for budget ones but they can be unreliable and getting spares can be a problem.

Many in the club use Superwinch and rate them VERY highly. One of the best suppliers is Rebel 4x4.

9000lbs is thought to be the best option.

Those T-max ones seem quite good from what I have seen.'
I had an 8274 and sold it ! Duh :(
I was not sure on the poundage required for the 90.
9000 or 12000 then !
Thanks. :)

wailofthesnail:
ep9 well up to the job, just needs fully waterproofing if you're going swimming!

Xtremeteam:
got a warn 12'000 on the front of mine, not as fast as an 8274 but pulls past where an 8274 would stall even on a single line
