bridding waffels ?
Tony W:
i have been seeing them all over the place
any sugestions how long, how wide, how deep,
i want them to use for too jobs the obvious one and as a a base for my roof rack when the camping kit is up there
strapping young lad:
devon 4x4 were selling them in billing and i wanted a pair but id already spent up with southdown
its the grp ones you want not the steel ones, cos when steel bends its stays that shape but the grp ones flex back to their original shape (or so im told on both counts!)
Tony W:
yep was thinking of the GRP type
just seen too types a 50mm and a 38mm
i know the 50 mm will be stronger but is it really nessesary.
strapping young lad:
it depends
they were 40 quid each i think from devon (i could be and probably be wrong)
it depends on what kind of terrain you are likely to use them
if its for rock climbing then the bigger ones would suffice but if its for laying down to drive over boggy ground then i imagine the smaller be better
who knows
but then again its prob easier to avoid the situation where you need em in the first place ;)
heheh
