Ken Stand-and-deliveringstone is off again

<< < (3/4) > >>

Range Rover Blues:
It's got b***er all to do with the environment, Red Ken is a master at riding the 'spin' of anti 4x4 feeling (perceaved or real) and is hopping on the band wagon.  He's a t!t, from the same mould as T B Liar.

LPG, virtually zero measurabel emissions, depending on what method you use.  Definetly cleaner, much more H2O, that's why your engine last longer, further lowering your carbon footprint.  A Disco is better for the enbvironment than a Toyato Prius.

Tiny Tim:
This was in The Telegraph this morning

Looks like a done deal

But will catch out far more than just 4x4s

Like 16V Mondeo auto

Range Rover Blues:
It's about time we all boycotted London, I never liked the place anyway and I don't see why it has to be the be-all and end-all centre of attention it's cracked up to be.  It's just somewhere for the tourists to go so they don't mess up the countryside.

laser_jock99:
You can join the host of NO voters here on the BBC poll:

MrTFWitt:
Theres a whole host of things that could be done to reduce inner city pollution.

Reduced car ownership within the supposedly brilliant public transport areas of London might help.  Tokyo only allows cars to be registered at an address if there is off street parking for the vehicle for every vehicle.

How about no on-street parking if you live on a bus route ?

Banning non catalysed vehicles from the city centre ?

Electric buses might reduce emissions locally but with the penalty of placing more load on power stations and more CO2 elsewhere.

The bottom line here is Ken is taking a stick to all us people that live outside his little patch and subsequently have no power to vote him out.
The only thing left to do is avoid London completely which I have done quite well.  Only been there once in the last three years.
