Hi/low jumping

(1/3) > >>

bullfrog:
I am looking at a 90 and it jumped out of high .
The seller assured me it was due to being used in low and the area being clogged with mud !!
I have said He will have to sign the reciept to say if it is a problem he will have to give me a couple of hundred back.
Is this normal or should I factor this into buying price ?
The rest of the vehicle is ok and does have a fair few extras.
I have offered £1400 and its an E reg with a V8, rocksliders, winch bumper, steering guard etc

blackbob:
dont touch it unless you want to replace the box
mud dont normaly get in that high  up the gear box
get him to fix it first :D

rangerider:
Dont accept the offer of a refund later, factor it in to the purchase price or run away. As an excuse, being clogged with mud stinks :(

Xtremeteam:
it will prob be clogged with mud as it sits where the lever operates & if it hasnt been used in low for a while then put in it sometimes wont go back

dazzawhipple:
Get underneath put you hand up by the linkage and have a feel,

I brought one the same wot the seller didn't know was the pivot pin had worn out, thus the linkake wasent pushing the lever all the way over got a couple of a hundred off took it round the corner got underneath and engaged the lever and drove it home 150 miles all okay
