Memory seat
ScrumpyJack:
Hi guys,
I've had the memory seat ecu failure, you know seat does nothing but mirrors move from seat button,
I just bought 1 from Eblag, fitted it now the back of the seat go's up and down as should do but the base only go's up and down at the front, no movement at the back and the seat will not go back or forward,
The mirrors work off the mirror button but only up and down not in or out,
Now, when I operate the mirror or seat buttons to the position that there not working I get a clicking from the ECU,
Is this a bad ECU or is it another fault altogether, anybody know.
Cheers
Ian
mark.yellow.series.3:
i think youll have to try the ECU on another working RR to find out.
Range Rover Blues:
The seats share a fuse for the rear hieght and travel, front height and rake I think, so check the wiring from the car loom before panicking, it could be a dadgy connection or a bad fuse. I had mine go bandy, it would only work with the door open  turned out to be a relay under the passenger seat, the wiring is well involved and the work of a deranged mind :(stoopid):
mark:
To test the seat ECU press the green buttom 5 toimes followed by button 1 2 1. Don't be sitting in the seat when you test it. The drivers seat will go through a self test.
If this does not work the ECU is [!Expletive Deleted!] or if any one the seat movements up/down back/front tilt does not work it could be one of the seat motors.
ScrumpyJack:
Cheers guys,
As soon as I can spare the time I'll be looking at fuses and such, I do like the self test thingy Mark, think I'll try that first,
I like the destructions on changing the ecu,
Remove seat, which can be tricky when there’s no movement, but as it turns out the ecu can be changed with seat in place,
