Range Rover Blues:
Well I spent 5 years at University getting my degree in mechanical engineering and automotive design. I spent nearly as long using it. Then tony B****Liar got into power and things started turning to rat s**t. Spot the manufacturing industry now!
If I'd had to pay for my Degree, I'd be demanding a refund. There are way too many school leavers going to Uni for no good reason, a lot of courses just have big ears and a squeeky voice, if the country needs 50% of school leavers to have a degree, the country should pay. It doesn't pay because it doesn't need.
It's just a good way of getting them all off the dole for 3 years, saddling them with debt so they darn't be out of work and then finally raise the retirement age so they have longer to pay their debts off.
Best thing is now a degree gets you the jobs 'A' levels got you when I left school, so where have we gone? and with the national minimum wage the differential between a 'good' job and a cr4p one is erroded. As a project leader I took home less than a machine operator, and on an hourly rate the cleaners did better than any of us!

My nollege of the inglish langwage is not so grate eether. Shall we start a thread seeing how bad we can spell words, but so they are still understandable?????????
how come i read this with out seeing the mistakes
i did an apprentiship and went to college 3 nights a week for 3 years and got quallified as a mechanic
my m8 cleans windows and made more than i did when i quit
when i was at college i could buy70 gallons of petrol with my wages and i could only buy 60 gallons with my wages at present if i was still in the motor trade
so was college worth it
jaws:
nah college is a waste of time.you can get a degree in almost anything but most degrees are useless.
college;
1) get accepted 2) get into debt through heavy drinking and being a social sponge 3) think your better than everyone else because you have a degree in box making,sports physiognomy or some other none life relevant thing. 4) go into the real world find out that in actual fact you've just wasted years of your life with only a piece of paper to show for it. 5)end up working at McD's to pay off the debt you are in.
apprenticeship
1) leave shool and get accepted thinking you're the be all and end all. 2) get the beating of your life for mouthing off at someone several time larger than you. 3) get paid minimum wage for learnin a trade and going to part time college. 4) get the experiance that working with a reputable company gives you for free whilst saving the pitance you earn. 5) qualify,get [!Expletive Deleted!] at graduation and reflect on the 2 cars that you bought out right,whilst looking forward to the brand new fiesta st150 you orderd yesterday!
now you tell me who's better off?i did day and block release,i qualified earlier this year.i'm 20 and as above have just orderd a brand new st150.making it the 3rd car i have owned 4th if you class the zook!how many college students can do that with their own money?i pay board,and taxes plus i don't have to search for a job because apprentice's normally stick with the company that's trained them!i started on £2.23 an hour 4years ago now i'm on nearly 5times that amount!
