Spotlight bar for winch bumpers

<< < (2/4) > >>

Budgie:
If you're worried about the height then here's a couple of other shots of mine that give you a better idea, I don't have a side-on shot though.  :(

View from the drivers seat, well camera on the steering wheel.  :D :

denviks:
these are the best ones i have from the side.....are the a bars the same??

Budgie:
They could be the same, although mine seem to have a slightly tighter radius, maybe just an optical illusion.  :?

I wanted to go for the BRB bumper with Roo-bars but because the winch I have has a bridge type switch gear then that fouls the cross bar on the roo-bars so I had to go this way.

Tyke:
Nice one guys.

Den, that pic looks like yours is a defender one as well then. Simply bolted in place on top of the bumper. Getting me re-thinking now . . . . Oh! btw who did the bumper?

Reckon I'd best get the tape measure out again and go do some measuring up. I'm looking to improve the approach angle somewhat so the A-bar fitted in my avatar, (Rebel 4x4),  is coming off. Whilst I'm at it I would like to fit a winch but don't want to loose my  low spotlights so an a-bar solution seems the only way.

Improving the approach and junking the a-bar fitted has become a necessity since I bent the bar and bumper rather nicely last night crossing a ramp and ditch - at least it did no other damage so it did it's job on the protection of the front - ain't it a bitch when you go that extra step too far, I knew it was steep but hey, we've seen worse . . .

Budgie, If the winch doesn't have 'bridge' switch gear, I take it the A-bar could be a fair bit lower then? . . . that could influence my choice of winch.

Budgie:
No the bridge only effected the roo-bar version of the BRB bumper because it has a crossbar right where the winch bridge goes so the winch doesn't fit that perticular bumper.

The A-bar I fitted remains the same height whether the winch has a bridge or not. You could always chop the feet off, reduce the height of the up-rights on the A-bar and weld the feet back on again.
