Spare wheel mount

Hi
I would like to mount my spare on the bonnet, is there a downside thats worse than the knackered rear door hinges.
Has anyone got a mounting plate?

Mine was mounted on the bonnet before I got it. Some one had droped the bonnet down and bent the bonnet. Also if you go greenlaning or offroading it block your view.

The only real problems are that it can crack the bonnet-frame in the same way as it does the rear door, the bonnet is very heavy to open and if you are short it can be difficult to see directly in-front of the vehicle (the width of the tyre is also a big factor here. Also some people struggle to lift it into place and end up rolling it across the wing & bonnet leaving dents.
I only used the bonnet mount when I had two spares (directional tyres) but now I am onto normal tyres I just used a side-hinged spare-wheel carrier as that takes all the weight.

Don't do it.  The slightest incline and you can see naff all and you cant see the nearside ever.  I have a bonnet mount for when i need a second spare and i hate it when its on.
