Blue Badge Abuse
Colin 009:
This makes my Blood boil.
Had a delivery to do in Chiswick high street, so got the pub and there was a Volvo parked in front of the cellar hatch, with a blue badge in the window.
so we pulled away to do another account down the road, came back twenty minutes later and a different car was there so went to the next account on our list.,
On the third attemp as we were about to turn in to the road where the hatch was, a car pulls in, so I jump out to ask the driver to park over the other side of the road, He says he cant as there are double yellows that side, I tell him that he can park that side with no problem, he again refuses to move. as he places a Blue Badge on the dash I tell him I have a blue badge at home and know that you can park for up to 3 hours on single and double yellow lines where there are no other restrictions.
He still cant seem to understand what Im telling him and I begin to dount his parents were married. I give up and tell him he's an idiot, walk away to explain to the landlord of the pub that because some idiot wont move his car they wont be getting their beer delivery.
As I get back in the truck the idiot is tell me I'm a disabled idiot ( Blue badge is for my mother).
Oh and he's asking me to get out of the truck and fight him,
there was me thinking he had a disablity.
His last insult was to call me Fat, now that really hurt and I asked him if there was any other cutting remarks he would like to make as I was feeling really wounded by being call Fat. We drove off.
My driver was surpizes that got back in the truck without laying the guy.
out first.
Anyway I dont think he should have been using the badge, and wish I had taken his reg number and reported him to the council for Badge abuse.
Rant over.
and relax. :D
Edge:
Ask the landlord to park his vehicle there prior to your next delivery (thats if he's allowed to).

Not that easy I'm afraid.
NiceBlueWellies:
A pub in Earl Shilton puts cones out, to stop parking, when his delivery is due. :D
Fireyred:
What a Beep, no need for all that.
Hate people who abuse blue badges, also people who park in mother and child spaces in a carpark and get out with no child. When I have to find a space miles down the other end.
And breath.
