My mate has a county 110 2.5ltr petrol.

When he jacks any wheel up off the ground he cant turn the wheel.

He isnt in diff lock as when one wheel is jacked up and puts it in 1st with the egine on  the wheel spins, puts diff lock in and the dash board light comes on and the car tries to move.

Hand brake isnt on.

any ideas why the wheel wont move?

not brakes as they arent binding and he has checked them all and not all 4 brakes would bind on that hard all at the same time surely?

All 4 bearings gone??? Not likely really.

sorry, misread it... didnt see that it was any wheel. no idea then sorry!

edit  - unless hes got diff problems on both axles - try it with everything in neutral

If it does this then he must be able to move wheel when jacked up. As this is demonstrating the wheel moving and that this diff is working ok.

Has he tried this on both axles?
